Hola a todos
As you are all aware a 4-week lockdown begins from 5th November 2020. From my interpretation of the limited government guidance released so far, it looks like we will need to go back online for this 4 week period, as although we are providing education, we are able to provide this online and advice is stay at home unless strictly necessary.
For new students who joined us in September, we are now very experienced at delivering online learning and combined with the learning forum for sharing resources and meeting links, we have an efficient delivery system for this. Also we should be able to increase the lesson duration online from 1 to 1.5hrs and provide recordings of the lessons should you be unable to join us live, so no missed classes. For our beginner students, Elena will be able to continue teaching her group remotely from Spain.
We always said from the start of term that should the R rate be going up or there is another lockdown (local or national) we would take lesson back online straight away. All being well we can get back into the classroom again before Christmas but this will depend on national measures and local case numbers. Andrea, Elena and I are already hatching plans to bring some fun and sociable online events to pass the time while we are all locked down during these shorter days including a Coffee & Current affairs discussion group, Spanish cookery evenings and a recipe competition. Elena is in Soria (Spain) for a funeral and is making a wonderful autumn vocabulary video for us this week and I am also threatening a Zoom Karaoke evening too!
As always please get in touch with any questions or if there are any online events you would like us to run during this lockdown.
Salados y gracias
