A bespoke Spanish course created for students of Norland College in Bath:

  • Travel basics for visiting or working in a Spanish speaking country

  • Strong foundations in pronunciation, noun gender, sentence structure and basic grammar 

  • Topics and vocabulary relevant to young children and family life

  • Traditional Spanish nursery rhymes and games for early years 



  • Our course is open students at Norland in all years, if you took you Spanish at school or are a complete beginner!

  • Re-enrol every year to cover new topics and progress your Spanish through interaction with the teacher

  • Your regular teacher will be Spanish Sofia who has hands-on experience nannying for an English family, teaching English and Spanish to children as well as working with SEND.

  • No text books! Access to all digital course materials via our learning forum.  Print, save or access online. 

  • Small groups of 4-12 students 



  • The fees for the year are £270 or 11 monthly payments of £25.

  • 25 hours of online group classes between 21/09 and 31/05

  • 3 tapas bar outings with your teacher

  • All course materials shared digitally in our learning forum

  • Access to lesson recordings on-demand in our learning forum

  • Free or discounted attendance at our language learning events in Bath and online



  • Lessons are on Tuesdays 6-7pm term time from 21st September.

  • Lessons are online and recorded so you can log-on from home or college and easily catch up if you miss a class!

  • We will be holding a welcome event on 14th September 5-6pm at Oldfield Park so come and meet us to find out more!

  • Every term one lesson will take place at one of the tapas bars for drinks and games! 


Course topics

  • Pronunciation, numbers, colours

  • Meeting people and greetings (formal and informal)

  • Days of the week, months, telling the time, daily routines 

  • Spanish for interacting with children: movement/action verbs, games, frequently used questions and answers

  • Spanish for the family setting: daily practical communications, recap daily routine, how to feedback to families

  • Spanish for the nursery setting: toys and nursery objects, rhymes, songs, the weather, games and states of emotion 

  • Spanish for travelling and working abroad:  transport, shopping, eating out and visiting places of interest
