From research and experience we've found that young children are very receptive to new sounds, less inhibited and quickly become confident. Our fun course about the seasonal adventures of Spanish cat and mouse give a life-long love of language learning, a near-native spanish accent and shiny medals are awarded every July! The La Jolie Ronde programmes we use are carefully structured and enables children to use their knowledge of simple Spanish language creatively, confidently and with imagination. Games, short role plays or stories, and reading, listening and writing activities are all suited to each age group with the emphasis on fun and creating a love of language learning. From January we will move on to a new book to last year so everyone will need new books. We will be covering the winter adventures of Mifu the cat, Tina the mouse and their new friends Pedro (el niño) y Carmen (la niña). Starting with Carmen’s birthday so we will be asking each other’s ages and where we live, what we like and what he/she/it likes. Vocabulary will include birthdays, foods we like and don’t, farm animals, warm clothes, saying something is too big, where things live, being lost, being cold and to be careful. Through play and speaking activities we continue to reinforce pronunciation and gender and articels. In this module we will venture into the third person with the verbs ‘vivir’ (to live), ‘gustar’ to please and ‘tener’ to have. Enrol here and pay your deposit to secure your child's space for terms 3&4 January - March 2024. The full amount shown for the course is for 9 lessons and £20 for the new book. The balance of fees plus will be invoiced at the start of term.
