Todo sobre Katherine
"I had the chance to go and live with a Spanish friend Estefania and her family in Malaga, I jumped at it”. Katherine spent four years living and working in southern Spain around the cities of Málaga, Granada and Córdoba where she acquired the language naturally.
Katherine then took the plunge and studied for the highly
regarded “Leonardo Da Vinci Programme” as well as completing a language study course at the Giralda Centre in Seville where she was awarded an exceptional Cervantes C1 result for Spanish. Her studies and work across Spain which included months working in the offices of a local Spanish TV production company, fully immersed her into the Spanish culture and way of life.
Katherine teaches children aged 0-12 using the structured courses from La Jolie Ronde. You can see her in action on our Youtube channel! She won La Jolie Ronde Licensee of the year South West 2013. Katherine has an enhanced DBS check, Paediatric First Aid training and Level 2 Safeguarding.

Todo sobre Paola
"Hola, my name is Paola. I spent my childhood living in Mexico, Kenya, Brazil and Italy where I learnt to speak Spanish, Italian and Portuguese fluently from a very young age. As a young adult I spent time travelling in Latin America and working in Spain and France where I further improved my language skills and enjoyed learning about other cultures. I came to the UK in 2000 to attend University where I gained a degree in Psychology and then came to Bath to do a Post Graduate Certificate in Education with a specialism in Modern Foreign Languages. I have worked for 13 years as a Primary School Teacher near Bath and have enjoyed teaching Spanish to children from reception age up to year 6.
I strongly believe that children should learn languages from a young age as it comes naturally to them and they can have lots of fun learning through stories, games, role-plays and songs. I have a five year old daughter and a three year old son and so feel like I have a good understanding of the kind of games and activities young children enjoy. I look forward to using La Jolie Ronde methodology as from the lessons I have observed Katherine do, children learn well whilst having lots of fun! Hasta pronto!"
Tout sur Muriel
"Bonjour, my name is Muriel. I ‘m French native. I grew up in South West of France. I’m living in England with my husband and 2 daughters since 4 years. We arrived in Somerset last July. I’m qualified by the Alliance Francaise from Paris since 2013 and from La Jolie Ronde in 2017 and taught babies. I teach French since 4 years to adults in different levels.
Our family travelled a lot since last 12 years, we spent 4 years in Cumbria (Uk), 2 years in America and were back to France 3 years (where I had experience with school children as a librarian, running activities about reading) before moving again in this beautiful Country. I think that’s why I love teaching my language. Having to learn myself and to help my children learn a foreign language I know how important it is to have access to the world and made me choose the best methods to teach. La Jolie Ronde with lots of singing, rhymes and lively lessons are the best.
So I’m ready to sing, dance, play and share my culture and language…."
