Continue your journey to fluency in Spanish in a small, friendly, sociable group with native-speaking teachers for plenty of conversation and listening practise in class. We welcome new joiners with an appropriate level of Spanish. For our advanced level you should understand Spanish when spoken at a moderate pace, understand the majority of long factual and literary texts, be able to express yourself fairly fluently and relatively spontaneously (verbally and in writing) using a variety of tenses, tones and structures. Ideally you will have completed previous courses to the equivalent of CEFR B1 level or have a recent A-level in Spanish. We break this level down into 6 modules each taking up to two terms to complete as groups at this higher level progress very much at their own pace. In module 1.1a you will discuss and retell news stories, express and justify your opinions, evaluate options, and respond thoughtfully to others in conversation. You’ll practise proposing conditions, agreeing or disagreeing, and referring to comments or previous topics. Along the way, you’ll expand your vocabulary around how we share information, the media, politics, history, leisure, tourism, and personal characteristics.
