Beginners 1 & 2

By the end of Beginner levels 1 and 2, students can introduce themselves, ask and answer basic questions, describe people and places, talk about daily routines, shopping, food, and past experiences in a simple way.

  • Our beginner course comprehensively covers all foundation elements of the CEFR A1 language level with plenty of speaking and listening practise in class.

  • We break the whole beginner level down into 6-7 modules, each taking a term to complete.

  • Use the tabs above to view summaries of what is covered in each part of the course and guidance on which level group to try.

  • New joiners are welcome at any time, we recommend trying a class first (see bookings below for levels offered)

If you have no prior learning experience or wish to refresh your basics, you should try/enrol in an Beginner 1a level class.   If you have taken GCSE or other beginner courses in the past or have been using Apps like Duo Lingo or podcasts for self study you may like to try a Beginner 1b-c or 2a-d level class.

If you are returning to learning Spanish or an avid Duo-Lingoer and not sure which class is right for you - we have a take a level test  or you can contact us for a level consultation.   The teacher will also be able to assess your level at a trial class.
