Service Description

Introduce your kids to the beauty of the Spanish language in a safe and fun way after-school from the comfort of home with a free trial of our online afterschool group Spanish class for ages 7-11. Our classes are structured to enable new students to join us at any time by constant revision of the key elements such as counting, days, moths, weather and alphabet. During the course we learn about familiar subjects like animals, sports, clothing, parts of the body, food and drink, shopping, and more. We also learn about gender in language, sentence structure and basic grammar. Activities vary from week to week with listening, reading and writing with plenty of games, catchy action songs, role play and the colourful activity book. We also learn about Spanish geography as well as foods, culture and traditions from the Spanish speaking world. We aim to make our classes as inclusive as possible and the materials this group use are suitable for age 7+. Ideally students should be in school years 3-6. As well as using flash cards, props, drawing and videos - the classes involve reading and writing of Spanish words and short phrases in our games and the activity book. As this is an online class, younger students or those with additional needs may require support from a parent/carer until they are confident with the format of our reading and writing activities.
