Free online events - Feliz Fridays I just wanted to remind everyone that we have some free events coming up that I really recommend, first is the grammar workshop with Elena on the Complimento, this is going to be a really useful session. It is 9.30-10.30am tomorrow (Friday) for all levels. You can book in via the website here . This session will be recorded and made available to all groups via your area of the forum from next week. Then next Friday evening Elena will be hosting a FREE Viaje Virtual on Zoom 7-8pm as well which you can book in for here
Luz al final de túnel I am sure everyone was excited to hear Boris’ plan to get the country back to la normalidad, we really hope that the timescales are going to be realistic and that we can all enjoy reuniting with friends and family as we come into the summer of 2021. Regarding our classes, I will be creating a questionnaire that will go out by the middle of March to assess everyone’s thoughts about returning to in-person classes and/or events after the Easter break. The New Oriel Hall should be able to re-open from 12th April and there will be further government guidelines to be considered as well.
Of course as usual I have some ‘out of the box’ ideas to run past you all for the summer term, a bit like when in January 2019 I suggested paying for Spanish by direct debit and everyone laughed at me like I was some kind of loca ! Now, 2 years later, over half of our students choose a monthly subscription to our classes. Looking ahead I cannot wait to get my salsa on with Raul and Elena at Walcott House and enjoy some gambas al ajillo at La Perla Tapas with all of you once restrictions are lifted.
Visitas While my children have been home from school I have not been dropping into the lessons but now we are certain they will return on 8th March I am planning to drop in on all groups over the coming weeks. However, if you have any strong thoughts or feelings or ideas about returning to the classroom in the summer term you can also let me know now by replying to this email rather than waiting to see me in the virtual classroom. All feedback and communication with students will be very helpful for me when preparing the questionnaire and getting our service delivery right going forwards. Thank you for your support of the classes and the community you have all created during the pandemic
Hasta pronto Katherine
