Carnaval
Nuestra alumna Meryl está de vacaciones en Málaga y nos ha mandado las fotos abajo del Entierro del Boqueron:
Una de las grandes tradiciones del carnaval de Málaga es la despedida del mismo. Cada año para despedir esta fiesta tan conmemorativa un boquerón gigante es llevado en procesión desde la Plaza de la Constitución hasta la playa de la Malagueta. Durante el transcurso de esta procesión en la que el boquerón es llevado por portadores, que son acompañados por un cortejo fúnebre, cuyo destino es acabar quemando el boquerón en la misma playa, a orillas del mar de Alborán.
El boquerón cada año se diseña en dimensiones gigantes y suele estar inspirado en algún hecho relevante que haya ocurrido en la ciudad durante el año anterior. El entierro del boquerón, es una festividad muy querida por los carnavaleros que cada año se despiden del carnaval con el ánimo y espíritu de volver aún mejor el año siguiente. Por ello cada año cientos de malagueños se juntan alrededor de la hoguera que se ubica en la Malagueta.

One of the great traditions of the Malaga carnival is its farewell. Every year to say goodbye to this commemorative festival, a giant anchovy is carried in a procession from the Plaza de la Constitución to Malagueta beach. During the course of this procession in which the anchovy is carried by bearers, who are accompanied by a funeral procession, whose destiny is to end up burning the anchovy on the same beach, on the shores of the Alboran Sea.Each year the anchovy is designed in gigantic dimensions and is usually inspired by some relevant event that has occurred in the city during the previous year. The burial of the anchovy is a festival much loved by carnival-goers who every year say goodbye to the carnival with the spirit of returning even better the following year. For this reason, every year hundreds of Malagueños gather around the bonfire located in Malagueta.Taller de Carnaval con Elena

In this workshop we will see the most important carnivals, the roots of this festival and some of the most extravagant customs, we will also learn vocabulary and have fun while learning about something so important in Spanish culture.
