In collaboration with FilmBath, our beloved Spanish teacher from the Basque Country Elena Alvarez will give a talk about her home region and its language before the showing the critically acclaimed film from the region - of 20,000 Species of Bees. Here we share some of the resources for used in the talk.
Txoria txori ("The bird bird is") is a Basque poem written by Joxean Artze in 1957. Mikel Laboa in 1968 created a melody adapted to this poem and with great success published the song on the 1974 album Bat-Hiru.
